Firestorm - Travel Team

Firestorm is for athletes who want more.

More competition. More commitment. More growth.

An add-on travel opportunity for Windsor Heat players ready to challenge themselves and compete at the next level.

Firestorm athletes are expected to bring a strong work ethic, positive mindset, and commitment to their team. This program is ideal for players who enjoy competition, are coachable, and are excited to invest more time into their development.

Ages

Appropriate players are at least 9 years only who have played softball for at least one year.

*A U8 travel team may be rostered in the 2027 team based on interest.

When

Season begins with tryouts in August, and runs until July of the following year.

Where

Practices will be held locally, indoors during the winter months, and then outdoors as soon as the weather permits.

Practices

Practices will occur once a week during the offseason. Starting in April, practices will increase to twice a week.

Games

Teams will be in 4-6 tournaments in addition to league play and 2 league tournaments.

Jerseys

In addition to your league uniforms travel team will receive:

1 warm-up long sleeve
1 short sleeve jersey
1 pair pants
1 belt
1 pair of socks

Costs

Travel team costs are in addition to your Heat League fee.

Is my daughter able to join a Windsor Heat Firestorm travel team this season?

Our 2026 Firestorm travel teams have completed tryouts and rosters are set. Tryouts for next season will be held in August/Sept 2027. League registration is currently open to all Windsor/DeForest girls for the 2026 season.

2026 Travel Season

Our 2026 travel teams have been filled this season. Try-outs for 2027 Heat Firestorm travel team will take place in September of 2026.
